The One Where You Admit There is Corruption

One more post for the day for my friends who are the "good ones" cause there are good and bad in every career field, every side, etc. To my police friends who know that I know that we know that you know that you're the good guys, let me make something clear. Me talking about ONE particular case and my opinion on it has no bearing on how I feel about all officers, so the accusations of me "being the problem" as to why law enforcement is demonized is absolutely ridiculous. Never have I generalized an entire group. For some things I say "most" or "many," but I appreciate that there are a lot of really GREAT officers as well. We as nurses and healthcare workers are demonized too. I'm very aware of that and have been told many times by haters that don't even know me that I "shouldn't even be a nurse," just because of someone or something I support that doesn't align with their views. My personal views have no bearing ...

The One Where You Don't Have to Pick a Side

Where did all the allegations come from regarding Rebecca, Renee Good's partner? Do we have proof before people start spreading these things? Just want to make sure. Cause I think it's funny that people are acting as if that could almost justify this death (same thing when Rob Reiner and Charlie Kirk died) - hypocrisy. If it is true, I pray that those children are safely in another home because that is vile to do to a child. As a mental health and corrections nurse, I have seen and heard MANY vile things and you know what my daughter and I do every night? WE PRAY. We pray for all my patients, all the criminals, all the homeless, all those suffering from evil, all the priests, all the frontline workers and first responders, those who have not yet found Jesus, and so much more. Here is a fun post called you don't have to pick a side to know that all of these things are wrong and VILE, and should not be accepted or condoned no matter what "political side" you'...

The One With all the Division

You know what I get the absolute biggest kick out of in all of this? How many of my "friends" who are apparently only friends with me when I agree with their exact thought process. The ones who agreed with my LOUD AF CRITICAL THINKING PROCESSES allllll during COVID. The ones who KNOW that I don't listen now, nor have I ever, to the media and always use my NURSING and LIFE assessment skills in order to form MY OWN opinions and conclusions (that often go against the grain). The ones who are personally attacking me and saying I'm the problem, when I simply have an open mind and try to look at a situation from a 360 degree lense, instead of blindly following what the people I USUALLY tend to agree with are saying. The ones who said they were looking forward to reading posts from me because I often said things that others are thinking but aren't brave enough to say out loud. They didn't want to speak out so instead they would privately message me or only like my p...

The One With the Double Standards

Someone commented on one of my Facebook posts today, “imagine going to work everyday and people interfering with you trying to do your job.” My response: “I DO. I go to work as a psych nurse and get harassed by others daily… By verbally and physically assauktive patients interfering with us and with the care we can give to other patients, By the ER not doing their job and coming over and harassing us to take more patients then we can safely take, or those who are not yet ACTUALLY medically cleared, By visitors screaming at us and threatening our jobs and our lives, And by police bringing us people who are criminals …instead of arresting them. That’s part of the job. I/we know what I’m/we’re signing up when we go into these fields. I’ve been physically attacked and guess who DID NOT help me out? My coworkers who sat there while she was escalating, and the officer I gave my written statement to, who DECIDED to put it down as “harrassment” instead of an “assault” when I was ou...
